The “Special arts” methodology is ready

The methodology for using arts for successful inclusion and development of learning to learn skills among children with special educational needs, is ready and available in all partner languages. It is created under the Erasmus+ “Special arts” project (2024-2-BG01-KA210-SCH-000289453).

The methodology has been created by CuBuFoundation and Le Voci di Astarte (Italy) in close collaboration with colleagues from the three partner schools in Bulgaria – SUUNZ „Louis Braile“ – Sofia, SUUNZ „Prof. D-r Ivan Shishmanov“, Varna and Secondary school „Vicho Grancharov”, Gorna Oryahovitsa

The methodology covers topics related to the needs and specifics of children with SEN, educated in general and special school, the role, which arts play for personal development, the potential of visual arts, dance and performance arts, the meaning of forming networks of specialists (artists, tyflopedagogues, experts, working with children with SEN), the role of the school administrator (headmaster) for the introduction and management of a sustainable art programme and others. All potentially interested users can find numerous useful suggestions related to both traditional, offline practices as well as new digital ideas for supporting the artistic processes in the classroom.
